Greetings to fans, press and other readers. This edition of Velosipedska News will bring you up to speed with our performances in Namibia, and with our plans for the future. What will the last 17 days of S53 bring?
---TEAM NEWS---
First of all, the team has reached division 5 for the second time ever. This time we will try to stay a bit longer, but there are still some goals left to chase in div 6, so we will adjust our plans based on our performance in div 5.
After the last update, where we told you about our new staff members, things have been quiet regarding the team structure. We might bring in some new additions for season 54, but we are currently quite satisfied with our staff and equipment. Next week, however, our sponsorship with Easy On Health Products will come to an end. A new sponsor has already been found in Alpine, who will bring in 50,000 to the team in the next 4 weeks. We want to thank Easy On for their support and welcome our new sponsor.

---RIDER NEWS---
First of all, there are some notable achievements to discuss. Cedomir Ivanov has finished his 50th race for the team. Not quite a founding member, Cedomir was signed 4 days after the others after being released by Lundar Cycling Team. A versatile rider and decent TT’er, Cedo is usually our experienced teammate and road captain for the sprint train. He had some small succes himself getting a 2d place in div 9’s Hemis Gompa Cycling Festival and an impressive top 10 in the Odyssey of the Oryx TT last season. Thanks for all your hard work, we hope you will race 50 more for us!
In other news, the Macedonian National Team has gotten results for the first time ever. Alpinisti na Ohrid’s Atanas Delovski had the honours of scoring the first top 9, after which our very own Riste Nikolovski repeated his example one week later. Velosipedska will pay close attention to the NT and wish them all the luck in the world.
Lastly, Velosipedska has found a new member for our Macedonian Training Program. Vladimir Gavalovski has been signed as a potential lead out for our sprinting train. He doesn’t seem to have the power output of the true top sprinters, but we are confident his technical prowess can help our leaders out a lot. We will keep you updated on his progress and hope he will be joining the sprint train as soon as possible.
Gavalovski’s potentials:
CL: Average
DH: Small
HL: Small
SP: Good
FR: None
CB: Small
TT: None
TQ: Good
---RACE NEWS---
And then there’s the Race News Section. We went to the Odyssey of the Oryx without major goals following Riste’s unfortunate crash and injury the week before. Considering those circumstances we can only be happy with our achievements this year: Metodija Aksentiev won the first stage - the first ever Macedonian tour stage win! Demonstrating our team’s dominance that stage, Nderim Bogatinov even finished 7th behind his winning captain. After that Metodija followed up with two 13th places in the following stages, eventually finishing 3d in the SC - the teams first ever result in such a classification.
Meanwhile, Riste Nikolovski tried to build his form during the first few stages. Unfortunately, in the stage that suited him the best, he crashed yet again and was unable to grab a top 10. Determined to salvage his tour, Riste finished with the top contenders on the final day, taking a 5th place. Velosipedska are proud of our captains, Metodija for stepping up at the last minute, and Riste for fighting against the odds.
Apart from Oryx, Metodija continued his winning ways after getting his first ever win on day 55 of this season. The day after Oryx he won Hit and Run on Mafia Island, and on day 69 he took 4th at Rumst - Bouwel. Meanwhile, Riste seems to be finding luck again, taking 4th as well today in Brazil’s Juiz de Fora - Nova Friburgo.
That will bring us to our future goals. Metodija and his sprint train will be attending Fast On Wheels for the first time. A bit jaded after Oryx, we are mainly riding this tour for experience, but of course Aksentiev will be fighting for a top spot during the sprint stages. Maybe there’s a SC spot up for grabs again! Riste will be riding a couple of smaller races, building form towards Monte Rosa Tour. We are not sure whether we will be in div 5 by that time, but we hope to join the Swiss tour for the very first time.
We thank you all for your support in Namibia, and hope to see you along the road in Denmark, and perhaps in Switzerland!
Kind regards and thanks for reading,

hehe, well i don't bother with TS too much until div 3 i suppose. i just calculated what would give me more performance, 20k in upgrades of my mechanic or the doctor. So I upgraded. the 1-2% TS you might gain is for me not worth the cost in div 5.
Good luck with FoW and the new trainee!
Funny, I was a bit low on TS so that's one of the reasons why I went for this. Tbf almost everyone i asked has a different strategy for this. I think I'll get both to 95 after this, then buy the 3 other staffers, then max them out. But I'm not entirely sure yet.
I also like the idea of having a mechanic and doctor there, if only for the RP value ;)
oh btw, why didn't you upgrade one staff member for 20k instead of buying a new one? The TS is probably not that important in div 5 and 20k improvement of staff gives more performance than the 20k for a mechanic/doctor whichever you bought first with skill 50, right?
